Discover Gongs!© is a one day workshop aimed at those people wanting to find out more about gongs and their uses in music and in sound therapy. You get a rare opportunity to play on over 20 different types and sizes of gong as well as learn about their history, manufacture, use and a little about the equipment needed to make them function. But above all it’s about having fun with gongs!
The workshop is lead by Phil McNamara, one of the world’s foremost authorities on gongs. He has been working with these wonderful healing instruments for over 45 years and is the author of the book ‘Gongs and Tam-tams – A Guide’ which is the only book in the world going into detail about different gong types, stands, beater and bags. He is also a Tutor for the College of Sound Healing’s Gong Practitioner course and has worked with well known gong teachers and players such as Mitch Nur, Jens Zygar and Mike Tamburo.
This workshop can be just for your own interest and knowledge about gongs but can also act as a springboard towards becoming a gong practitioner yourself.
Cost - £90.00 to include workshop handbook, certificate, use of mallets and gongs and ‘goodie bag’.
